Have you ever seen a small ad in the classifieds, talked to the vendor, raised the money, arranged transportation and storage only to find that the vendor didn´t know quite what he was selling? Did you buy the car anyway? This was the story behind my 412 E station wagon, which i initially thought was a type 3 squareback. She was dirt cheap and drove like a dream. The main bearings had a knocking sound but i cured that with another injection type 4 motor from Alf in Horsens. Yesterday I went by the place where this car sits today. She´s in a bad way now and I really wish I could save her.
